residence-on-earth-1962:

Walking among stone and cinder
I celebrated vices between long columns,
between solemn bells,
I rememebered damsels knotted
without any sense of latitude,
torn somewhere between cathedrals
and the altar of light.
I forged trimmings, ignots of regret
recalling only the tepid taste of salt
in the cold tango of dawn.
I consulted bishops in a wilderness
of silence and castles, using
naked vocabulary and words composed of
granular sand.
I walked among the stone
trampling all over virtue
and forgot to use my hands.

Walking among stone and cinder

I celebrated vices between long columns,

between solemn bells,

I rememebered damsels knotted

without any sense of latitude,

torn somewhere between cathedrals

and the altar of light.

I forged trimmings, ignots of regret

recalling only the tepid taste of salt

in the cold tango of dawn.

I consulted bishops in a wilderness

of silence and castles, using

naked vocabulary and words composed of

granular sand.

I walked among the stone

trampling all over virtue

and forgot to use my hands.
